Solution Partners in Action

Read about how GS1 US Solution Partners helped their customers implement GS1 Standards and gain business efficiencies.

    The Neiman Marcus Group
The Neiman Marcus Group (NMG) needed better visibility across its many silos of inventory. To do this, it required more than 2,700 of its vendors—both large suppliers and small artisan companies—to use GS1 Standards and EDI technologies. Partnering with DiCentral, GS1 US and InterTrade Systems, NMG educated and supported its vendors in executing the company’s supplier enablement solution.

 Chipotle Mexican Grill
Chipotle partnered with FoodLogiQ®, a traceability solution provider for the food industry, to implement a traceability program leveraging GS1 Standards for sharing standardized product information at every step along the supply chain – applying proven best practices developed by various industry segments.

  • Sun Products
Sun Products relied on GS1 US Advisory Services and 1WorldSync Professional Services to educate and train its employees on product identification and data synchronization practices. The team also provided recommendations for data governance in conjunction with the company’s SAP implementation.
  • SunFed
With help from HarvestMark and GS1 Standards, SunFed has made case- and item-level traceability an integral part of its business and has full visibility of its produce traveling from fields to kitchens.
  • The Oppenheimer Group
Oppenheimer joined with Safeway and iTradeNetwork to conduct a pilot for exploring the costs, benefits and barriers of implementing produce traceability using PTI best practices, which are based on GS1 Standards. They found the ASN not only offered a more efficient way for sharing traceability data, its use also provided additional supply chain benefits for suppliers and buyers.
  • JemD Farms
JemD Farms, partnering with GS1 US Solution Partner, HarvestMark, implemented case-level traceability, using GS1 Standards for end-to-end visibility from greenhouse to retailer. During harvest and packing, JemD receives precise production information about produce destined for its distribution centers, enabling it to collaborate more closely with retailers, prioritize shipping as needed, and better balance production and shipments with customer demand. Every case that is shipped – both inbound and outbound – is uniquely identified and labeled for tracking forward to the retailer and tracing back to the greenhouse.
